Rear Lowering Kit for FLSTN |

We just bought a new 05´ FLSTNI / Softail Deluxe for my wife. She has a very short inseam and we´re trying to find out if any of the after market Softail lowering kits (Burly, Progressive, etc.) will work on the already 1" shorter shocks on this particular model. PLUS - If we lowered it an additional 1" would it put her at risk, while riding, due to reduced ground clearance? As info, we already installed the HD Front Fork lowering springs to drop the front an additional inch. The stock ground clearance is 4.8 inches and the shorter front fork springs didn´t seem to really change that measurement.... However, at the point where her legs / feet reach the ground it seemed to shorten it by about 3/8 to 1/2 inch. Thanks in advance for any facts on this matter, Kerry & Caroyln Coyle |
