If you´re looking at a ´79 FXE you are looking at a 1200cc motor. The FXE did not get the 80 CID motor until the following year. Shovelheads did not get rid of heat very well. My ´79 FXE had to have three engine rebuilds within 13,000 miles! And that was with an oil cooler. Value of a stock ´79 I would say no more than $4,000. New they were a few bucks more.
