I bought an 1981 fxef harley and still riding it some steps to take for improvement
1. s&s carbereter shorty
2.started handle this device takes the wires from the handle bars and trash the starter solenoid it´s manual
3. S&S breeder valve after shutting down that below average sump system harley origionally installed
use the 3.5 harley ignition coil it you have electronic ignition
