Anyone having a starting issue with Django 125 or 150? Have been trying to solve a problem during warranty period with no success. Local dealer unable to resolve issue. Problem: When bike is left standing for intervals of weeks or months it will turnover well on the starter but will not start running. Noticed that the longer it was left standing the longer it took to get to run. Finally narrowed problem down to upper gasket on the manifold inlet was missing and not fitted in the factory assembly. This was preventing the vacuum fluctuation needed to activate the fuel pump within the inlet. No fuel = no start. The mixture screw had to be screwed in about half a turn once the gasket was fitted to get the engine to idle correctly. |
