What is the vertical guard in front of engine?

What is the vertical guard in front of engine?

Looking at the picture I noticed a guard in front of the engine mounted vertical with pipe coming from behind it. It that some kind of oil cooler or something behind the plate? Does anyone know if the plate itself can be mounted on the 2021 XT250M ( US model)? Thanks.
