I´ve ridden my Boss Hoss 502 for a year now. I´ve logged almost 8000 miles on it thus far. Ok... the novelty has worn off, only to be replaced with a magical feeling everytime I get on it and start it up. It´s a bad dog that barks! It´s ´rumpity rump´ idle you´d expect out of a hot rod Chevelle, or Camaro... is more fierce! It can outrun it´s own shadow too!.

Ok... that´s the wild side of this bike. Lets talk about the ridability of it. It´s two and a half times heavier than a touring Harley or Goldwing. BUT! It´s truely well balanced and VERY managable. As intimidating as it´s size seems... it´s perfect for the highway for cruising, and EASY to drive in town as a bar hopper. TRUE STORY! My 502 get´s about 20 to 22 mpg in fuel... lots less than that in town.

Get used to the Hollywood treatment... EVERY gearhead wants to talk to you about the ´big block´ Chevy motor in a motorcycle frame. EVERYone else wants to know... Is that a V-8? What does it weigh? What would you do if you dropped it? How fast does it go? Are you insane?

Truth be told. It´s a mellow cruiser, under 2200 rpms at 75 mph. Little or NO vibration when driving. Long wheel base takes the ´tiredness´ out of long trips. Comfy Mustang seats makes the ride like a lay-z-boy recliner. The steepest mountain roads seem like a table top. Loads of passing power to get by a mule train of RV´s during the summer. Reliable as a car, because you´d never really work the motor to wear anything out.

Even the cops like it... they ask the same questions.
