RE-JETTING MY CARBORATOR

RE-JETTING MY CARBORATOR

I just bought and am fixing to install a set of Vance and Hines Straightshot pipes on my 1998 Honda Shadow Aero 1100. I am hoping they sound great once installed but, I am concerned about the affect that they will have on my carborator. Will I have to have my carborator re-jetted? I have asked several people... some say more than likely, some say probably not. If so, is that something that I need to have done by a professional or can I tackle that job myself? How do you determine if its neeeded or not?
