Ok 96-99 is a 919cc stamped on engine Block before that 93-95 was a 893 , that said if u look on from vin cod right side of frame t says year of bike also a 98 had a lower par of the headlamp removed for air intake it also has a diff rent just slightly windshield. And the rear tail align isnĀ“t square in to pieces its more oval if your motor says 893 on block and you have everything else as I described you have a bike with a swapped engine it works just fine most everything is same. The stroke is same it just a slightly larger bore on the cylinders very tinny diff Also the brace for the front face attaches to both mirrors on inside BUT the 93-95 went also to he outer areas on frame by the vin sticker the 96-99 attached to the two middle bolts that hold the gas take on in front another slight difrence to tell. Bikes apart hope this helps
