I owned a 175 Allstate and a 250 Allstate. They were Ok until the Japanese invasion occurred. The Allstate´s were Puch´s sold by Sears Roebuck and company.Their performance was slower ( they used a prewar engine design) But they were fairly reliable and fun to ride. I also owned a Puch Gelandesport (scrambler) It had been used in the Catalina Grand Prix. It had a BSA front end and Burgess mufflers, They didn´t muffle much , it was louder that Hell!It was a better dirt bike than any Japanese bike , until the Yamaha DT1 came along.
