I have a strange probelm with my 98 cbr and was wondering if nayone has had similar. Basically at a standstill it will rev fine and will idle, however when on the road will not rev past 4000 rpm and coughs and splutters like mad. I have been through the obvious and have tried changing the CDI from another bike (which is working fine)and no improvement, however when you take the fairing off the bike runs fine, put it on it won´t rev again. Nothing is being moved or touched by the fairing, none of the intakes are blocked either, does anybody have any ideas?
