I know the guy who originally posted this email has probably already made his decision and I have never ridden the Aprilla but based purely on sound of the engine it has to be the Gilera.
I´m sorry but I´d be embarrased to be heard on the Aprilla, it sounds like a gnat, I´ve heard louder hairdryers. The Gilera sounds like a proper bike, a lovely deep throbbing sound. One con with the Gilera is that you dont get the sound of the gear changes, but I´d still prefer the DNA anyday.
