This was my 2nd bike after my initial Suzuki 80, I was 17 and I showed my Dad a Bridgestone 175, down at the bike shop..... then later that week a 350 GTR demonstrator came up for sale at the same price. I added a backrest carrier and crash bars and drove it home..... holy sh.. was it fast. As I showed it to my Dad in the drive way he said wow I didn’t think it was that big. I never did tell him but back in those days no one, and I mean no one could beat me off the line. At school I made the cool Triumph 650 guy cry when I blew him away in the after school parking lot. Twin carb chrome ported rotary valve two stroke was a small jet engine. Loved it ..... one negative ... you had to run that engine hard or it would foul out on you. It wasn’t a Sunday drive motorcycle in 3rd or 4th, but it went faster top end than any specs I’ve seen, mine topped out at 121mph and could do that quarter mile every week at Naiperville in 13-13.6 every time. Thanks for the shout out .
