I purchased a brand new 2014 Indian Chieftain in 2014. After moving to AZ 3 years ago, I decided it was time to check out a Trike Kit made for this beautiful bike. I decided to go with the CSC as it kept the lines of the Indian plus they offered a 5 year Warranty. (I know right) So I´ll try and keep this short and simple. Ever since the day I brought it home after the conversion, I´ve had a fuel problem, in the fact that it has a 5.5 gal tank, but only allows me to put in 3.5 gal. This has gone on well over a year. I´ve called the trike dlr that did the work, I´ve called CSC, trike mfg and everyone thinks I´m nuts AND I couldn´t get any of the local Indian dealers to talk to me, cuz guess what, it´s now a trike. Well this past Mon I was out riding and kept seeing something wet on the front/side of my gas tank. I stopped in to a dealer, talked to the folks in service and low and behold, I was informed that they used the wrong ´rake kit´, which explains ´why´ I can´t use or get all the fuel of my 5.5 gal tank, but I´ve also got two blown fork seals due to the added weight. Indian will not cover this under my ´now extended´ warranty as the time lapse has caused my main warranty to expire. I´m hoping the CSC trike kit mfg, of which I purchased the kit and rake kit all from them, will step up to the plate and help me get this resolved once and for all. Anyone on this form that has any information that could help, I would be forever greatful! Have you or someone you know had this or a similar experience? Thanks a bunch, so if it´s bit lengthy.
