Just demo rode a 2018 Scout and totally loved it. Not the Scout 60, the big engine 100 HP Scout. I´m considering buying one, although might back down to an earlier used Scout, a 15, 16, 17. My concern is the small fuel tank 3.3 gallons. What kind of MPG are people getting. At how many miles does your low fuel warning light come on? After it comes on, how many miles can you ride until it dies from empty tank? Has the model changed much over these last few years or can I expect the same performance from a 15, 16, or 17 as I got on the 2018 demo? Any particular plusses or minuses you´ve found on your Scout? Thanks for any info you can provide. My last bike was a mistake - sold it at a big loss after owning it about 3 months.
