I note that you experience this problem when the bike has cooled off somewhat. These bikes have an automatic fuel enrichment device for cold starting, or auto choke for short. Mine works fine on the first start in the morning, i.e. from absolutely cold, but the engine runs a little erratically if I ride for about 1 or 2 miles, stop, and then restart. I think the residual warmth in these conditions ´fools´ the auto choke into thinking the engine is warm, but the inlet tract is still cold enough to cause fuel condensation and a concommitant short duration of lean running, causing hesitancy. With a new machine of presumably light mileage, I would be very surprised if you were having transmision trouble. I have done more than 20,000 klicks in the first year without trouble. I change the drive belt every 12,000 klicks. I hope this helps, Jonjo |
