Whatever you do, do NOT buy it from the Vespa store "Cars Dawydiak" in San Francisco... or have it serviced by them. I bought one from them last year and have had multiple problems with my scooter due to their "servicing" it. In order to keep my one year warranty valid, I had it serviced when it was required.... after overcharging me for the general service (250$ each time) I had major problems: had to replace the carborator, the cooling system , etc. I believe their mechanics are not competant in servicing Vespas, in fact I believe they are the source for all the problems I´ve had with my scooter! Other than that, the GT is awesome! I love mine (when it is running)!
