I have a scan of the workshop manual. Translating from the Italian it goes as follows, but please note I have no practical experience of these tasks and an imperfect grasp of the language. To remove the drive belt, first open the cover. Next, block the motor drive shaft pulley using an appropriate tool, unscrew the nut and remove the washer and half-pulley. The belt can then be lifted off. The minimum belt width should be 21mm. Less than that and it´s time to replace it. The manual recommends replacement every 18000km. Refitting is basically the same in reverse. The whole thing doesn´t look difficult; it´s basically a modern version of the Daf Variomatic transmission used in cars in the 1960´s and 70´s. Mechanically simple but highly effective. |
