Hi I have just bought a Fly 50 4-T for commuting a few km´s to work, namely a distance I used to walk but involves a climb 60% up a mountain. The Fly 50 makes easy work of the climb. My initial impression is that the Fly 50 4T is a well designed machine and ideal for someone like me not expecting a high-powered racing bike but rather a safe and reliable commuiting vehicle. Many years ago, I owned a Tamaha Passola 50 2T around the 1980´s. I can clealry see in he past 20 years that the design of scooter has improved considerably, albeit the underlying technology is much the same. The next vehicle I purchase or constrcut in this category will be an electric scooter. Then I can commute on renewable energy from wind power and/or hydrolelectric power. Even despite the Fly 50 4T being a frugal machine, I feel uneasy polluting the environment with its exhaust fumes. Piaggio has a well designed product here. I would recommend it to sensible, careful and economically aware purchasers. Best regards Tim |
