I have an 85 FXSB with 4-speed and belt drive. I also broke my inner primary and have had difficulty finding a new one. Have tried an earlier model but have not been able to get the starter to work. There are some differences with starter drive components because of the belt drive width. Let me know if you learn any tricks.
