I´m a beginning rider and looking for a bike that I can enjoy on country two lane blacktops as well as rural dirt roads (not any real serious off-roading for me, however). I´m interested in a bike that is not too ordinary and one that is of high quality with a good service and support network in the USA. The MZ Baghira looks the goods! I´m a bit concerned about buying a bike manufactured in East Germany, however (and I really don´t know why -- maybe I´m skeptical that the aftersales support and parts availability won´t be there for MZ).

Can you share any experiences you may have with this bike? Is it a good choice for my combination of back roads twisties and dirt roads touring? How about service and parts support? Is it a fair choice for a 45 year old beginning rider? Thanks!
