Rode my Traveller ( Scorpian ) for three years now and covered about 33000 miles. Small problems with electrics ( Jap stuff ), but mechanics excellent and very reliable. Top speed limited but well above UK limit and cruising speed very high. This is a real milage eater. The traveller can carry a lot of gear and is an ideal middle range tourer, extreamly comfortable and smooth. First gear is embarresingly low, but you get used to it as you do the lack of torque , below 2500 revs. Road holding and cornering , breaks and steering and fual consumption are excellent and beat everyother bike I´ve ridden. Controls are good , but the headlight is a little weak for very high speed night riding in country areas. Servicing is fiddly , having to remove the faring etc. but no worse than many other machines. The faring itself is first class , Very strong and protective if you tuck in - yet one still feels your on a bike. Highly recommended, especially at the price - try it for yourself. Doug Brown |
