I disagree!
Get a new one! If your attitude to riding is that at first you´re gonna drop it a few times, then don´t ride ever. Any bike you get on should be treated with respect as the potentially lethal machine it can be. Get a bike and treat it with the greatest respect. Never ride at a speed you cannot comfortably handle. Keep riding slow untill you are confident to increase speed little by little. You will know yourself when you can ride faster. This outlook should stay with you on any machine you touch. A good rider will never drop a bike. Don´t think you can buy a cheap bike and it don´t matter if you fall off a couple of times. One fall in traffick at any speed can kill! Get some lessons, pass a test, buy a bike and slowly gain experience. You will then feel confident on anything and you´ll be a damn good rider.
