Yeah I have a similiar question about buying a bike also. This will be my 1st bike and I don´t plan on getting it for a couple of months down the road say November-December. I´ve been checking out the specs on all of the 04-05 sport bikes. I have a friend who has a gixxer 750 and at 1st he was telling me that I should get a 750 also but I want a 600 and that was final. He thinks believes that once I get the hang of that 600 that I´m gonna want something bigger, but in my case I have no intent on racing period. Its just for getting out with the fellas on the weekend and heading down to the beach in florida so I´m not into the fast-fast riding on the sport bikes. But I´ve narrowed it down to 3 bikes: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R, CBR 600F4i, and the YAMAHA YZF-R6. Which one is the best buy and very reliable? I know I´ll have my times where I will put it past 100+mph just to see what it can do:-)
