and guys don´t forget the power weight ratio on a motorcycle provides EXTREMELY FASTER acceleration rather than those we see in cars.A 5-6 thousand 600 cc motorbike can DEMOLISH a 250-250 thousand car(Diablo,Murcielago etc)Also in a car you just sit in it and control the steering and the pedals. When you´re riding a bike you ride with your body. Some non-bikers think that you only ride it with you handlebars. The thing that they don´t realise is these days with so much hp going from the rear wheel on a bike being so light geniuine..if you ride with just using your handlebars the front tire would actually slied away.So you no longer ride the bike with your hands but by your body.Everything knee draging, body postioniong, throttle control, slide control, elbow dragging(for more experienced riders),the art of countersteering, getting used to be confmortable at greater speeds(100+mph which you don´t exceed that often in a car),getting used to the acceleration, lean angle in a croner, entry speed of the corner..etc there just too many factors when riding a motorbike.Actually you will be surprised how many crashes occour without the proper knowledge of what to do in a sliding out of control situation.I mean..for example I know I guy who rides a cbr 600 RR.Black great azz looking bike..however he was enterying a corner at around 60-75 mph and he realized that the rear tire slid too much.He panicked,.He said he ain´t remember much but he probably closed the throttle which was the WORST thing anyone could do in a tire sliding situation. If you ever get in such a sitution..here are some advices: THROTTLE CAN SAVE YOUR ASS-be gentle with the throttle!Throttle is everyhting these days on a bike.If you find the rear tiring is sliding ..just take a few mm out.Do NOT CLOSE it..here is why?imagine you close the throttle on a sliding rear tire.First..here´s what will happen-you will totaly mess the weight distribution of the bike.Normally it is about 60% rear 40% front...however if you close the throttle it will be the opposite-60% front,40% rear.Imagine what kind a pressure that little tiny suraface of the fron tire must take!!!Moreover the grip level is even worse ´cause you are cornering! So if you close the throttle..unless your name is Valentino Rossi you will probably loose the front end of the bike..and..you are in a highside situation! You probably know that a highside is ...I´d say one of the worst things that could happen to a motorbike rider.Anyway this is getting too long I think.I hope someone might learn something from it.Thank you for reading this long message.I´ll be glad to answer any kind of questions about anything related to motorbikez. My mail is kawasaki_zx10rninja@abv.bg Peace everybody and have fun riding your bikez!
