Depending on what you look for in a bike, i have a few suggestions. The r-6 is a good bike, the fastest on the market, but only because it red lines at such a high RPM...the other bike manufacturers arent dumb...yamaha hasnt thought of anything new, they are just more willing to sacrifice some of the reliability (that is overall lifespan) in order to push out more HP. If you´re looking for something new and stylish, the r-6 is the most popular, however, if you want something dependable that will still make your eyes tear up with excitement, honda is definately the way to go. Since this will be your first bike, i promise you that you wouldnt even notice the difference between the r6 and the CBR because, like most out on the road, you wont use the full racing potential of the bike on city streets (that doesnt speak for some of us haha) Honda has the reputation for being the best for a reason. Their bikes outlast all others on the market, they are known for holding their value and the HP isnt that far off from the r6. If you want something new, take a look at the CBR 600RR. With an In line 4 engine, it cranks out 117 HP (very very close the the HP of an r6 or something "faster") and I promise it will last past 20,000 miles when your r6 has fallen apart. I own a CBR F3, and had alot of modifications done to it (i dropped a 900rr engine in it) and I promise you it would kick any other bikes ass out there. I wouldnt trade it for anything. Good luck on your search! |
