| Back in 2001 I was looking for a new bike after selling my Aprilia Moto 6.5 ... After a test-ride on a Laverda 650 (also see my comments about that bike) I browsed the Internet and found a Laverda 750 S Formula for sale. It looked stunning ! So I drove all the way over to the other side of Holland for a testdrive. After that I just couldn´t help myself ... I had to buy it ! Actually it was above my budget, but it also is everything I dream of in a bike ... So I bought it :-) It handles like nothing else I know (well perhaps like a Duc 748) and it´s a real corner-monster. This bike keeps letting you know that you can still go further and faster and sharper through a bend. It really feels at home in the mountains and goes throug hairpins like no other bike ! Only thing is that I had to have the driveshaft changed, but just out of precaution ... Seems that there are some known problems with that part, especially when the bike is being drawn into the red a lot (9000r and more). I´m still enjoying this bike as much as I can. It´s terrific !! Only troubles I´ve had up till now are an oil-filter that a mechanic hadn´t screwed back on tight enough, so it started leaking and a small leak in the expansion-tank that holds the cooling fluid. For an Italian bike that´s almost miraculous :-) I love it ! I love it ! I Love it ! |
