been into Jawas since the 70 s, had just about every model theyve made, but, the chopper version I could never get hold of , but finally managed to win one on E bay with only 2000 miles on the clock,I love the looks, but, its a bit of a bitsa.Bigger front wheel and smaller back wheel certainly makes it look the part, moving the rear spring round towards the engine also looks good BUT, 2 up the rear mudguard sits on the back tyre!!!!Not good Jawa Iv had to put spring back in standard position to raise the mudguard away from the tyre, this could have been lethal, as the mudguard fouling the tyre at speed would ofcourse have locked the back wheel, anyone else buying one BEWARE, you must sort this out. Also as the rear tyre is smaller, theyve fitted the the drive cog usually fitted to the sidecar model, which reduces top speed, and increases engine revs throughout the gears, so if you fit the standard rear wheel youll have to fit a 17 tooth sprocket as well.
