This is normal for a dry clutch. Personally I love that sound! clakity-clakity-clack! clakity-clak kerswhing swhing! Hehe

Is your clutch cover vented or no? If it is then it will be considerably louder which is my personal preference. The stock cover has a rubber gasket between the engine case and the cover which helps absorb some sound, if you don´t like the noise make sure that that gasket is in good repair.

A poor man´s vented cover can be had by simply removing the gasket. This will leave a 1/8" gap between cover and engine case which will allow some air to flow over the clutch plates and release a bit more of that wonderful Ducati music.
