Right wire the ignition circuit first with red from the battery to the 30 connection on the key switch unit. Run a blue wire from the 52 connector to the 6V terminal on the ignition coil. Run a black wire from the coil´s PAL terminal to the contact breaker on the engine. The bike should start and run now. Next wire in the charging system. Run two different coloured wires from the D and M terminals of the dynamo to the D and M terminals of the regulator box. Run a wire from the M terminal to the charging light. Run a blue wire to the 52 terminal on the keyswitch unit. Run a red to the battery live terminal from the B connector on the regulator box. The bike should now run and charge the bike. I figure that you can figure out the lights and turn indicators (if any) plus the stop light. I wire my stop light into the blue ignition circuit. Derestriction. Remove the metal pipe in the plenum chamber of the airbox. Either chop it out with a cold chisel or do it the hard way and split the airbox. I prefer the former. The engine is now 19 BHP !! You may need to adjust the needle height to richen the mixture to suit. Also remove the silencer end cap, remove the large collar inside by whacking it with a screw driver and hammer until you can grip it with pliers and yank it out. This removes the flat spot in the rev range, stop the leak around the join and most importantly, makes refitting the bloody small baffle piece easier. On the baffle subject, the flat goes towards the front and the hole in the main baffle unit goes towards the rear. Hope that this helps. I belong to the JAWA/CZ owners club of Britain and Ireland. There are also clubs in the US, Oz, NZ, Sweden, India, Norway and other countries. Andy. |
