Hello there! Although the neat bike is new to me, still, my impression is that for motorway driving it´s, well, a bit tiny on horsepower. Imagine slight uphill in a headwind and a lorry in front of you to overtake! It does not only require a long clear distance forward of you, but also a similar distance behind you - no fast cars coming up! But then, motorway driving is not why I bought the XS125-K, no, and in other respects the mc does a good job. In my opinion, it is a good performer and easily driven. My goes around 100 km an hour, still not completely run-in, but I do not go that fast normally. Gas consumption is low! Negative sides: Bad assembly. I had a lot of adjustments and even minor repairs to do before it was functioning all the way through. And I had a bad dealer, that did nothing to help. I would like to have valve clearencies in the driver´s handbook too. These seems impossible to obtain, I tried so many sources in vain. Lastly, there´s a ratteling noise, I can not find the origin of. All this said, I am very fond of the fine little thing. You asked how to improve this bike? I would first of all make it lighter. There´s a lot of items that simply can be remowed. (How about your own weight? oh sorry!). Tank capacity can be reduced. Buy some good tires. I do not have experience in the ceramics coated cylinder, so I am reluctant to experiment on the basic engine before I have some well driven time behind me. Yours Thomas |
