I´m a 60 year old Australian who´s been riding bikes for 44 years and raced for a number of years in the 250 production class (basically customer 250 GP bikes such as TZ Yamahas and RS Aprilias etc).

Unlike many at my age, I still love riding sports bikes and own a MV Brutale 800 RR, and have owned everything from a CB200 Honda, ZX9R, ZX6R, GPX750 Kawasaki´s, and Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans, Ducati Mille MHR and so on.

I have ridden and honestly can´t see the attraction of cruisers. Maybe it´s different in a country like the U.S.A. with lots of straight long highways (though I´d still imagine I´d prefer to be on something like a KTM 1290 Duke Super GT in those circumstances).

I voraciously consume technical and general information regarding motorcycles (maybe that´s the mechanical engineer side of me) and it is a source of general amusement to my friends that when discussing any bike I´ll rattle off the alphanumeric title of it and its´ weight etc. I´m honestly not in any way trying to show off it´s just these things seem to stick in my mind and there are so many similar models, it´s my way of ensuring we´re talking about the same bike.

Apart from bikes, Moto Gp and bike racing in general, I also love Rugby (Union), Cricket, reading and film.

So there you have it. You all know what there is to know about me!
