The problem is with the fuel gauge. When the key is turned on the fuel gauge registers empty. There is also a small indicator light on which is an emergency light to let you know that you are about to run out of fuel. This all happens when the tank is full. I have pulled the fuel float assembly and tested it via an omn reading. I does change state so I think it is ok. I have tested the wiring front the float to the gauge cluster. I have removed the cluster and inspected the printed circut board. cleaned and reinstalled, but not change to the problem. The fuel gauge will move from full to empty when the gauges are reconnected. Seems as though something is telling the gauge to move to the empty position. Note that all gauges worked last fall, but donĀ“t work correctly now. Note that the temp problem was corrected by just cleaning printed circut board. I was reading maximum hot when the engine was cold.
