Final Drive Gear Ratio

Hi,

I built higher final drive gears for Goldwing GL1800 making it run like it has a 6th gear. www.henrysfinaldrivegear.com

Do you guys feel that ST1300 should have taller ring and pinion gears?

The final gear ratio on ST1300´s is 2.833 : 1 (34 teeth ring and 12 teeth pinion)

I think it is too low and 2.35:1 ratio should give you smoother ride.

Henry
