I bought a GV 250 Aquila off the show room floor in 2007...ride it almost every day to work and back have taken on a couple 100 mile plus trips...once with my wife on the back seat...made 277 miles that day without a glitch from the bike...only thing I have done to the bike is change the oil ,tires,chain and sprockets since April of 2007. I checked the mileage on the last two tanks of gas and both were over 56 miles per gallon...I drive the bike I don´t pet it around...I drive the speed limit...70 mph here in Texas. And believe me it will cruise at 70 with no pronblem with two adults on it. I highly recommend it for a beginner or just to ride back and forth to work.
