Wobble or shimmy problem |

Hi all, I´ve been experiencing some severe wobble or shimmy problems with my Comet 650. I´ve taken it to the dealers a couple of times already, and they have adjusted settings on the rear shock, front forks, etc. but to no avail. The problem seems to be occuring at speeds of around 130 - 150 km/h. Once the wobble starts, it takes a while before the oscillation (or tank slap as it´s often called) dies down. Accelerating at this point makes the problem much worse, and I almost lost contol on one occasion. Also, wind seems to worsen the problem. It does not seem like there is any leak on the front forks. I´ve only done about 2700Km on the bike and have never had any accident. Has anyone else experienced the same problem and is there a solution? The bike is still under warranty, but the dealers seem to be stumped and not really solving the problem Any help or suggestions would be most welcome! :) Regards, |
