Trunk audio input plug

I have a 2010 Spyder RT. I have an auxsillary audio input plug in the trunk. 7 pin.
I can plug in an audio player and it will play the music through the bike amp as long as ht ebike is not being driven. When I start driveing the bike it will keep playing for a bit and then cut out and cut in at will. Do I have a bad connection or is there a different problem. If I play a radio station I dont have that problem. Thank you in advance for any advise you might be able to offer.
