Stator coil problems

I ride a VLS Quad with a 525 KTM motor but we have been troubled with stator coil problems, it keeps overheating and that causes the solder on the coil to melt off. we don´t know what to do about this problem, we have fitted a oil cooler but it does not solve the problem. what else can we try, or what can cause it. PLEASE HELP. Thanx
