Hi Alan,
I have a 2005 525 EXC, has done 2500km, has been serviced every 500km (oil change and filters) + 1 valve clearance. Once the suspension has been sorted for a heavier rider (I am 100 kg) new springs for the front were needed. Apart from that it is a fantastic bike, lots of power, great handling and light weight. Just today I did the regular 500km service and much to my dismay on the sump magnet looks to be part of a gear tip. Not sure of the outcome yet but will know soon enough.
