Hello everyone, I´m very new to this forum. I have a 1986 Yamaha virago 1100 that I was trying to fix. The original owner said it just need a starter and carbs cleaned, because it sat in his garage for many years. But one person bought it, and another person, who thought they knew how to work on bikes, and they left it set out in the weather for many years. When I finally bought it for 400, I tore it down to the frame, In the hopes to ride it myself.
So, this is my problem: I put it back together with new parts from Ebay, New coils new rectifier, new pickup coil, new voltage regulator, and still cannot get this bike to spark. Read a Haynes manual and it said to Check the TDI Box, and I bought a new one from Rectifier.com, which cost a pretty penny.
Put it all together and still no spark. Everything Works, kickstand switch etc.
Could someone please tell me how to either, bypass this, or what am I missing?
