I recently acquired an 03 50 senior. The rear brake cable has a lot of slack and cant adjust it enough to get the brakes to work properly. I have already checked the brakes shoes and there is plenty of material left. Do the cables stretch? Do the the brake drum need to be replaced? Is there any upgrades for this. I have read on some forums that this is a common concern.
