Well, Don´t forget that this bike is made for enduro/off-road racing. So, it isn´t really made for jumping. The fork and the shock are pretty soft to make the ride more comfortable and to improve grip and control on any kind of terrain. The suspension is more softer than a "real motocross" like the KTM SX serie. Of course you can do jump with it, but not big jump. Or, if you do big jump, don´t do it too often and check or maintain your suspension very regularly. It´s a tough suspension but it´s really hard on the seals. Personnaly, i do little jump with my EXC, but i suggest you to try it with yours. If the suspension bottom far too often, buy a "real motocross" (like an SX). But if you want to keep an enuro/off-road bike in your garage,I suggest you to do some modifications on your suspension (fork springs, revalving, coil spring for the rear, seal savers, etc). P.S.: For a good example of what can or cannot do a KTM EXC, read the January "Dirt Bike" magasine. They try a KTM 250EXC at the Glen Helen 24 hours race. |
