| My first ktm said 2004-09-08 23:35 |
| last weekend i purchased a new 2005 ktm 125 sx from the dealer. I´m coming off of a 2004 Honda crf450 and before that a 2001 cr125. I sold the cr 125 to buy the crf450 because i needede power. The big crf had power ,but it was a tank handling wise. I sold the big crf and bought this ktm.I finally found the bike i was looking for. If i had known that the ktm was this good i would have skipped the crf altogether. The ktm handles great. It goes straight and turns well. Tight square corners or high speed sweeping ones, this is one good handling machine. Low end power is surprising good for a 125. The low end power makes the bike fun to ride off road. The middle and top end is where this bike shines though. It is without douibt the fastest 125 i´ve ridden to date. The bike is comfortable even though it has a small feeling too it. I´m 6ft tall and it is comfortable sitting and standing. It has a bunch of neat details that make it really easy too work on like: No linkage,easiest air filter removal ever, 1 bolt to remove rear fender sidepanels(one piece) and seat, hydraulic clutch and an easy to remove radiator cap so you don´t have to take 3 screws out of the rad shroud like some bikes to get your hand around the cap. Lots of trick high quality componets like;high quality regina chain,renthal taperd bars,renthal grips, v-force reed block, plated pipe etc. If you´re thinking about a 125 crosser, the ktm is the wat to go.
