Excellent bike but what now????

I have recently bought a new DR 125SE and have been very pleased with the buy the bike is comfortable and nippy, but as always we bikers are looking to give our machines that little bit more and thats where it seems we DR owners are doomed after taking advise from several people I have come to the conclusion that the DR125 is unable to be added to in the same way as most 125 trail bikes, if anybody out there has any suggestions on how I can achieve that little bit more acceloration please please help!!!!!!
