fi bike keeps starting and dying

so I took the tank off to fix a leak, put it all back together opened her wide up and the road and when I came to a stop she just died and fi started flashing on the display, turned the bike of turned the key back on and she started right up and was fine after riding about a half hour ever stop I made she died and I would just turn her off and she usually would start right back up till the next stop repeating the flashing fI until it wouldn´t stay running for more then a min and till the batterie dyed, I thought since I had the tank off something clogged the fuel injections but since it had been running fine I was told bad connection between the tank and bike..... what do you think?
