I am a new rider. After taking the safety course in NY I realized I was going to have a real problem with the used Yamaha 650 Special (´79) I purchased to learn on. I realy needed something with forward controls and a lower seat. I have now owned my S-40 Boulevard (I love the new name) for about a month and have 650 miles on it. It just went in for it´s 600 mile checkup and needed some tightening on the belt and cables due to new use stretching. I have found this bike to be perfect. I love the looks, sound, and feel. I handles like something much smaller, but seems to have the power to get you moving. I would like to see more companies making aftermarket accessories for it. I would think that with it´s history of over 20 years with few changes, companies would realize this bike is here to stay and has enough sales to keep them making it.
