First electric start scooter?

My father in the UK had a 200cc Zundapp Bella. It had an electric start. The bulge below the dashboard carried 2 batteries required to operate the electric starter motor which also doubled as the generator when the engine was fired up. This scooter had great weather protection. It was very heavy too but it was WAY ahead of it´s time in technology.
