my 04 450 makes more usable power than any other 450 I have ridden in 27 years. It does not handle as good as my 450F Honda in the woods. It has been VERY reliable. For motocross i run a 50/50 antifreeze. For enduro I run Engine Ice. The bike wants to overheat in the slow parts of the enduros. This bike is very UNDERRATED. It was a little hard to start until I took it to Halls´ Husqvarna in Springfield Il. A simple jetting problem. Every time I race people are in awe of how powerful this motor is. A friend of mine that just bought a new KX450F rode my Husky and it blew his mind. He told me my Husky had twice the usable power of the Kawasaki. He paid more money than i did when i bought my Husky!!!!!!!!!!
I´m an old motorhead. I raced a KTM in the late 70´s and had a myriad of motocross bikes. I´ve narrowed it dowm to 2. A new TC 450 or a 510......either way it´ll be another Husky. I am going to sell my Husky outright and buy a new one before next season starts. My 2004 450 should bring 2800. This bike was RIDDEN AND RACED and never embarrassed me.
