OK so where is all the information on this bike, I bought a 2000 registered CCM640es which according to the insurance companies doesnt exist. I havent been able to find any technical info either (I bought the Rotax manual but its not exactly a Haynes if you know what I mean) I´ve also had a bit of a rough deal getting parts and good service so if anyone has recommendations I would love to hear them. The bike has been a love hate thing since I bought it, fantastic to ride (though it needs a jet ski plug cap for winter trail riding) but after the original stand snapped (a supermoto item my bike is on trail wheels) the factory replacement doesnt even try to support the bike! anyone had similar, it seems about an inch too short. A word of warning also I recently warped the head on mine after the choke slide vibrated itself off the side of the Kehein40 carb and ran lean on me, by the time I had pulled in the header pipes were glowing orange! its only three little screws so go get the loctite out.
If anyone out there has dyno´ed a 640 model then I would be curious to know the output (sibling rivalry involving XR650)
Also does anyone know where to source a large desert tank as the factory dont have the tooling anymore.
I find speeds above 90mph induce quite a lot of headshake can anyone recommend a good damper.
