2001 r6 engine swap

I have a 2001 r6 and need upper engine case and can´t find one so now I´m thinking of just getting a new engine and would like to upgrade some but I don´t know it I can take a newer r6 engine that´s fuel injected and swap. Can anyone help with what I should do.?
