Happy Camper with my (new) 2001 Sport-T |

Last month, I visited one of my local bike shops to snoop around the bargain bin and let my wife look at some tank tops. There were a few used bikes outside, lined up, waiting for a new owner. I spotted a blacked-out engine on one and first thought it was a night train. Upon closer inspection, I saw it was a Sport-T. Sport-T? Whatdahell was that? The shop owner told me this was Harley´s replacement for the Dyna Convertible....a factory, stock, hot rod Dyna Glide...with 12,500 miles on it. (I´m a Sporty owner since 1988, so I wasn´t familiar with the Dyna line.) I liked the bike (black is the only REAL harley color), so I went home, jumped on the Internet, and did some research. To make a long story short, I liked what I read on the Web. I went back to the shop, talked trade-in for my ol´ 1988 883 XLH Sporty, went to my bank, worked out some pain-in-the-ass financing, went back to the shop, put down $500.00 \\ |
